Christmas in Savannah 2010

Ok so get ready for photo dump 2010.

The second weekend in December, I headed down to Savannah (aka-the best place on earth) to celebrate brithdays and Christmas with my besties. My birthday was on the 20th and Rena's was on the 21st, but there was no harm in starting the parties a little early!

I got down there on Friday afternoon and Sarah and I spent the day downtown. We hit up the cutest fresh bistro and had an amazing lunch!

After eating, we hit up a few of our other favorite places-Paris Market, Gap, Urban Outfitters, etc.

Rena got in around 9:30 and we pretty much just hit the bed.  Saturday we got up to some pretty rainy weather.  We met Matt for breakfast, then came back and stayed in our PJs allllllll day.  We ran a few errands before heading out to do the Christmas Tour of Homes.

After the tour we ate dinner at this amazing Tapas bar downtown, then came back to Sarah's to exchange gifts!

On one hand, I wish we all lived in the same town so we could see each other more often, on the other-it's fun to have different places to visit!  I love these girls so much and I'm so thankful for a safe, fun and restful weekend with them!

Weekend Wrap-Up

Happy Sunday friends!

My weekends and weekdays seem to blend into each other now that I am working full time.

Friday I got my tax situation worked out and ran some errands with my dad. It was pretty low-key, but a fun day!

I worked yesterday, but after I got off, I met some people from work for team trivia. I've always wanted to play, but oddly enough, I've never been! We had a blast, and came in 4th out of like 11 teams?

Today I worked in the morning, but got off around 2:30. My dad's birthday is Tuesday, and I have a few things planned. #1-I ordered him a red velvet cake from The Trestle Bakery. It's his favorite! #2-I am making him a little CD book of some of his favorites to keep in his truck! He's never had a CD player in a car before so I think he'll enjoy it!
Which leads me to where I am now. I stopped by Target after work to buy some blank CDs and while I was there I picked up some Sony earbuds. They were on sale and they reminded me of pearl earrings. I LOVE them! I've had them in my ears for like an hour now and they aren't hurting! Where have these been all my life?

Happy Thursday folks!

I hope everyone is powering through their work week- only 10 more days til my bday and 15 til Christmas! Woo hoo! This really is my favorite time of year!

A little update on the running... today I ran/walked 1.9 miles! That's the distance around my street in my neighborhood. I thought it was only 1 mile but when I got back I did a little mappy mappy and that's what it said! So yay! Now I have to work on getting my endurance up so I can run/walk around like 3.5 more times!

Anybody have any good cold weather exercising tips? I enjoy working out when it's a little chilly because I don't get as hot, but the cold air hurts my ears and throat. I know ear muffs can take care of the first problem...

An update on the Christmas present shopping-- I have my dad and mom a few more things to pick up. I don't wanna put on here what I got my mom incase she's reading, but my dad... he's got some good stuff. So far...

I also can't wait for the 17th to get here... Sarah is coming home from Savannah, Rena is coming from Columbia the 18th, and my roommate from my junior year of college, Shannon, is coming the 19-21st! I can't wait to spend time with each of these ladies and enjoy my bday and Christmas with them all!

It's been a while...

Ok first off- I am so sorry it's been so long since I've blogged! Who knew not having a job would keep me so busy?

I've been hanging out with some friends this week since they go back to school (the teachers). Today is my friend Emma's birthday- Happy Birthday Em! We went to Bonefish for dinner- yum-o-!

Tomorrow I'm having that 31 party that I am so looking forward to!

Saturday Emma, her mom, my mom and myself are going out for a special surprise birthday dinner for Emma's mom that I can't wait for! Pictures will surely follow :o)

I've also been working on some baby announcements that I'll be sure to post once I get the okay from the momma, but MAN they are cute!

I had a phone interview on Monday with my church in Columbia for an admin assistant position, so hopefully I'll be hearing back from them tomorrow or Monday. I might be moving back to Cola! I'm excited/nervous about it though- I have no idea where I'm going to live!

Oh and guess what- I WON A GIVEAWAY! yay!!! Angela at Sweet Tea Diaries was the host and I won a Lilly Pulitzer luggage tag from LWhelan Designs!

I'm so excited! I can't wait to put it on a suitcase!
