Weekend Wrap-Up

The Weekend Wrap-Up is here!

Friday I met up with a friend who is moving to Raleigh, NC as part of her physical therapy rotation. We went to the mall and walked around, nothing amazing, but great spending time with her anyway :o)

Saturday, met up with Jenna & we did some damage at the outlets and surrounding stores.

My purchases included:

How perfect is this shirt for me? J. Crew Westie Long sleave Waffle Shirt.

J. Crew Stretch Chinos for $12.97!

And these super fun flats from Payless for $16.99!

After that, I came home and watched some football with dad. Thankfully Carolina broke the losing streak against VANDY. Ugh. It was still a painful game to watch. I got some great advice from dad that night "Lindsay, sports is supposed to hurt." Haha, he's so right.

Today, I met up with some friends at Target and grabbed lunch at McAllisters. I love that place!

I also worked on these super cute birthday invitations for a friend's son:

And matching Thank-you Cards!

Now I am rocking out to Michael Jackson (PS-I already bought my movie ticket for this Wednesday and I CANNOT WAIT.) and cleaning up the mess that is my room.

I hope you all had a super fun weekend too!

Update...

So I feel like I haven't updated in a while. (other than Gus and MJ)

I promise I'm still here!

Work has been insane. Ya'll, I have to find something new. It's a bad environment. It's definitely not what I thought I'd be doing. There's a lot of backwards things that go on and I don't want anything to do with it. Hopefully within the next month I'll be gone. I'm trying to hold out until after these weddings are over so I'll have some money for those.

Speaking of weddings, I finished Shannon's 200 wedding programs! They turned out really cute. I'll be bringing them up with me to Greenville next weekend for the wedding.

(That's Natasha being an amazing friend helping with the programs.)

So yea, wedding #1 is this coming Saturday, the 18th, in Greenville. I just picked up my dress from the alterations place today. I'm really excited to spend time with those girls. One of the bridesmaids (roomie from junior year) just got a job with Boeing, in Philadelphia so this will be one of the last hang out times I'll have with her.

The following weekend is wedding #2. I have have have to find a date for this wedding. My ex will be there as an usher with his WIFE. ugh. So you get the idea.

It sounds like everyone had a fun Fourth. I laid out by the pool and watched fireworks at the beach. Nothing amazing but super relaxing.

I also got my hair done last week. I love it when it's SUPER blonde.

I also did the invitations for the rehearsal dinner. I think they turned out super fun.

Tonight I went and got ice cream with my pops. He's such a good sport :o)

Well, I hope you all have a great weekend! I'm planning on hanging with Natasha tomorrow to watch a Michael Jackson concert that we found :o) and probably tiddying up my room/desk. I need to get organized before the weddings! Night lovelies!

Sunday wrap up

Can y'all believe the weekend is almost over? I hate that! I definitely think we all need a three day weekend.

So here I am, working on some stuff for work that I didn't get finished this week-joy... (Well actually I'm taking a break from work stuff to blog)

I worked on some invitations for a friend's 3 year old's birthday party. They want it UP themed- the new Pixar movie. Here's what I came up with. (They are going to Disney World & plan on taking a picture with the UP characters... so that's going to be in the black and white boxes.)

I also did some corresponding thank you cards. I love them!

My Friday was pretty good, except the fact I got a screw in my tire. I would like to crown myself queen of nails/screws in tires. I seriously think since I started driving I've gotten AT LEAST 10-15 in my tires. So after the wonderful guys at Tire Town fixed my tire at no charge to me, some retail therapy was definitely needed.

I'd like to share with you all my new favorite beauty product. It's O-Gloss from Smashbox. It goes on clear and then creates a custom shade of pink. It's amazing. And I LOVE the pink shine. Seriously folks, go get it. It's awesome.

I of course hit up GAP since all of their sale stuff was an extra 25% off! I love it when they do that! I got this super cute "fiesta" shirt in yellow and brown, a pair of white shorts, (SIZE 8!!!!!!!) and some silver thin strapped flip flops! And of course spent some QT with KikiBee!!

::side note- the parentals went out of town for their 29th wedding anniversary so I have had the whole house to myself since Tuesday::

Here's Dad enjoying an anniversary beer. He cracks me up.

When I got home, I took care of the dogs & checked the garden. Check out our crops! Green Beans, a Pepper & Romaine Lettuce! I ended up making a salad with the lettuce & pepper for lunch and then last night I threw the green beans in with some squash for dinner! They were delicious. Homegrown food always tastes SO good. I can't wait till our tomatoes start to ripen.

Saturday, after the dogs woke me up @ 7 am, I fed them and headed back to bed and we didn't get back up until 11 am! It was AMAZING. I really miss sleeping in. Yesterday I really didn't do anything. And it was great. Sometimes you need those kind of days!

Today, I cleaned up the house befor the p-rents return. Did some dishes and laundry, then hit up the grocery store. Ladies, I am about to unveil the most wonderful thing I've ever eaten. Are you ready for it? You may want to sit down.

Starbucks Ice cream.

That's right. Being a member of the Starbucks Black/Gold Card thingy, I get coupons all the time from them. Recently, they sent me a free pint of their new ice cream coupon. They have four different flavors- Coffee, Mocha Frappuccino, Caramel Macchiato & Java Chip Frapuccino. I bought the caramel one and holy crap.

Best ice cream EVER. I'm sad that it's a ridic $5 or something a pint, so it will definitely be a special treat, but MAN ya'll HAVE to try it. It's so good. (Check out how cute Bailey is in the background. He's jealous dogs can't have ice cream.)

So there it is, my weekend wrap up. Pretty uneventful, but quite nice. I'm looking forward to the upcoming week though, I'm getting my hair done on Monday -finally. I have a massage on Wednesday. Dinner with friends on Thursday night and then I'm leaving for Cola for the weekend- probably on Saturday. For what you ask? Ha- another wedding shower! woo! This is a lingerie shower though, so it'll be super fun. I'm also taking my bridesmaid dress to the bridal shop to get altered b/c they ordered a size 14 for me. Awesome. I'm hoping it's not going to be super expensive.

I hope everyone else had a great weekend!!

P.S.- Whitney, I'm totally trying to ship your summer swap present before this weekend!!!

Weekend Wrap-Up

So after work I Friday I went out to eat with some friends and then we headed back into the belly of the beast- aka SBB in Murrells Inlet. We visited with some people, saw a few friends, and overall just had a fun time watching all the bikers... definitely not my crowd.

Got up super early on Saturday for Coastal Carolina's Graduation. The ceremony started at 8:30 a.m.- yikes! It had to start that early though since it was outside. It was warm- for sure, and by around 11 I was dying... After Emma graduated, we went out to breakfast for lunch- super yummy! Here are a few pics from Saturday...

After we got home and changed we hit up the mall since GAP was having a crazy awesome sale...

Yesterday was such a nice relaxing day. Dad made pancakes, I laid out in the backyard for an hour, watched Come September with Mom, took a nap... seriously, a whole lot of nothing. It was amazing, and definitely needed to prepare myself for this week...

Friday Emma is having her graduation party, Saturday I'm going to Columbia to hang, and then the shower on Sunday, drive back to the beach Sunday night. Then start all over again! But thankfully, bike week will BE OVER by the time I get back :o) Hallelujah!

Here are the super cute lingerie shower invites I did for Suzanne's shower in June...

Hope everyone has a great week!

This might be a little repetitive...

But I need your help! I've finally decided to make some business cards and stickers for my invitation "business". The name is The Fine Print. Please tell me which version of the card you like the best. Or, if you have any suggestions- I'm all ears!

Two.

Three.

Four.

This is the logo I want to create stickers from to place on the backs of all my invitations. Again- let me know which font you like the best.

Ok so there you have it! Please send me your choices so I can get to printing these!

Need Custom Invitations?

So I totally forgot that I told Kiki I'd post some of my invites that I've made for some friends...

Ta-Da!

Most of these were inspired from other designs I found on-line. So if any of you are throwing showers this upcoming wedding season- let me know if you need any invites!
