Christmas in Savannah 2010

Ok so get ready for photo dump 2010.

The second weekend in December, I headed down to Savannah (aka-the best place on earth) to celebrate brithdays and Christmas with my besties. My birthday was on the 20th and Rena's was on the 21st, but there was no harm in starting the parties a little early!

I got down there on Friday afternoon and Sarah and I spent the day downtown. We hit up the cutest fresh bistro and had an amazing lunch!

After eating, we hit up a few of our other favorite places-Paris Market, Gap, Urban Outfitters, etc.

Rena got in around 9:30 and we pretty much just hit the bed.  Saturday we got up to some pretty rainy weather.  We met Matt for breakfast, then came back and stayed in our PJs allllllll day.  We ran a few errands before heading out to do the Christmas Tour of Homes.

After the tour we ate dinner at this amazing Tapas bar downtown, then came back to Sarah's to exchange gifts!

On one hand, I wish we all lived in the same town so we could see each other more often, on the other-it's fun to have different places to visit!  I love these girls so much and I'm so thankful for a safe, fun and restful weekend with them!

Updates!

I ended up going with the Clarisonic Plus.  I found it on QVC's website for significantly cheaper and it came with three different Philosophy products.  So far, I really do love it.  My face gets all tingly after I use it.  Love.

I survived Black Friday at work.  It was madness, but in a fun way.

The Biggest Loser episode aired that they filmed in Myrtle Beach.  I wasn't on it, but my friend Kyle was!  He was assigned to walk with this woman, who may be a future contestant.  How cool is that?

Emma did the Turkey Trot with my on Thanksgiving!  It was a lot of fun-especially since it was Emma's first race.  We had a great morning.

After a shower and a nap, we regrouped to eat!

Mmm...We had two turkeys-fried and baked.  Both were amazing!

I also go to spend time with Carol and Natasha while they were home over Thanksgiving weekend.  They came to my house to watch us give Clemson a beat down.

Natasha also helped us pick out our Christmas tree and decorate it!  I'm so glad I got to spend time with her while she was home.  She'll be home in 2 weeks for Christmas for about 10 days!  Yay!

Current Obsessions

Boots. Duh.

I ordered the Idens and they'll be here tomorrow by 3pm!!!! I am SO excited!

Straight No Chaser. Have ya'll heard of this acapella group? They have been rocking my socks off this Christmas season thanks to their rendition of the 12 Days of Christmas.

Straight No Chaser - Holiday Spirits (Bonus Track Version) <--Found here.

I looked them up on iTunes and found they recorded a few recent songs as well, which I immediately downloaded. I could listen to them all day. And they're not too bad to look at either :o)

And speaking of songs to be obsessed with...

The Script sings it here, but Straight No Chaser also sings it. I just love it. It's been on repeat for about 2 weeks in my house/car/iPod.

This website...

This website has a TON of FREE, downloadable goodies. i.e. these 2010 planner guides...
Enjoy my obsessions!

Thursday postings...

Happy Thursday folks!

I hope everyone is powering through their work week- only 10 more days til my bday and 15 til Christmas! Woo hoo! This really is my favorite time of year!

A little update on the running... today I ran/walked 1.9 miles! That's the distance around my street in my neighborhood. I thought it was only 1 mile but when I got back I did a little mappy mappy and that's what it said! So yay! Now I have to work on getting my endurance up so I can run/walk around like 3.5 more times!

Anybody have any good cold weather exercising tips? I enjoy working out when it's a little chilly because I don't get as hot, but the cold air hurts my ears and throat. I know ear muffs can take care of the first problem...

An update on the Christmas present shopping-- I have my dad and mom a few more things to pick up. I don't wanna put on here what I got my mom incase she's reading, but my dad... he's got some good stuff. So far...

I also can't wait for the 17th to get here... Sarah is coming home from Savannah, Rena is coming from Columbia the 18th, and my roommate from my junior year of college, Shannon, is coming the 19-21st! I can't wait to spend time with each of these ladies and enjoy my bday and Christmas with them all!

I gotta go get ready for work but I hope you all have an amazing Thursday!

Weekend Wrap-Up

Happy Monday friends!

I actually worked all weekend! We were pretty busy too... and ya'll I'm not just saying this, I really love working there. The people I work with are great and I am in LOVE with some discounts! It's just nice have a place to go to work and really enjoy it!

On Thursday, dad & I got our Christmas tree. It's the best and biggest tree we've ever had!

Before:

After:

Another super fun thing going on...

I'm going to run (walk a lot) the Cooper River Bridge Run!

It's March 27 and I could not be more excited. It's a 10K (6.23 miles)

I am definitely not a runner. In high school, I never enjoyed running b/c of how big the girls were. And by girls, I mean boobs. But after a few surgeries that problem has been addressed.

A group of friends, some from high school & some from work are going to be doing it with me. I know that they'll all hold me accountable when it comes to training and during the race. I will try to keep everyone updated on my progress. And if any of you have ever run a race or anything, I'll take all the advice you can give!

In honor of me doing a 10K-I may have picked these two items up yesterday at work:

Anyway--I hope you all have a great week! I'm trying to be better at updating more while I'm working, so bear with me!

Who says it's too early for Christmas Shopping?

Ok, I need some help bloggers!

So my birthday is December 20th. 5 Days before Christmas. Normally, I hate it. I always get combo presents. Cards read "Happy Birthday & Merry Christmas!" & I think ok, when your birthday comes in February and June your card will read the same. I mean I'm only a little bitter.

Anyway, I told my parents that this year, I'd be fine if I received a combo present.

TA-DA!

Totally acceptable combo present, right?

So here's where I need your help. I know a lot of you out there have the Cannon Rebel and I want to know where did you buy it?

I've looked at Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Target, Sam's Club, Costco & Amazon. The prices ranged from $611-$712. Specifically I want the Canon - EOS Digital Rebel XSi 12.2-Megapixel Digital SLR Camera with Lens - Black.

Any suggestions out there?
