SEC East Championship!

Last night, South Carolina Gamecocks beat the Florida Gators to clinch the SEC East Championship. This is a huge feat for my school. When they brought Spurrier on as head coach in 2005, this was a big goal for him to accomplish. Everyone had such high hopes from him. But something that was hard for South Carolina to do was recruit the kind of players it takes for a team to win the SEC East. Remember, we are in the same confrence as Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee, all at one point in time, being huge power houses in college football.  This year though, we beat them all.  Even the #1 ranked team in the country, Alabama.  We did have some losses, Auburn, Kentucky & Arkansas (all SEC teams) but I think that's pretty typical for South Carolina.  They have to keep it real.  Anyway, I could not be prouder of my school and what they've accomplished this year.  Here's to December 4th.  Wish I could go to Atlanta and see us take on Auburn one more time, hopefully redeeming ourselves!

Vacation-All I ever wanted!

So I get a mini-vacay starting now!

The past couples weeks have been pretty busy at work with us gearing up for Holiday.  I just got back last night from working in Jacksonville, NC to help them get their store set up as well.  So needless to say, I am ready for a weekend away!

I'm meeting Rena in Columbia to go see our friend Caroline in Legally Blonde, the musical.

I think I'm also going to go tailgate for the game on Saturday.  We don't have tickets but it will still be fun to go down there.   I miss going to football games so much!

Whoopsie!

I am a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad blogger.  Please forgive me!

Life has been pretty busy around here lately!  Lots of work, friends coming into town, and honestly, not enough time for me to sit down for hours and blog like I really want to!

But I will let you in on some super fun plans I have starting tomorrow...

I am going to Philadelphia!  My friend Natasha has been up there for a little over a year and I have an opportunity to visit for a long weekend.  I can't wait to do all the super nerdy stuff; Independence Hall, shopping, the Liberty Bell, Cheese steaks, shopping, the Rocky steps, and shopping.  It's gonna be a great weekend!  You can be sure I'll be back with an awesome post about my trip. 

Also-on a side note- South Carolina is playing the #1 ranked Alabama this Saturday.  AND ESPN's College Gameday crew is going to be there!  SO SAD I can't be there! 

Good thing probably, for Lee Corso's sake anyway.  I'd be sure to punch him in the face if I ever saw him in person.

Today kicks off the 2010 College Football season!

Again, South Carolina is the season opener tonight!

I wish I could be at Williams Brice Stadium with all my friends tonight!

Weekend Wrap-Up

How is it Sunday already? Seriously?

It's been a weird week here kids. Got home Tuesday afternoon, went to bed at 9 and I feel like I've been in a fog ever since. My friend Emma's grandma passed away Wednesday morning, the wake was Thursday night, and the funeral was Friday morning. Then my friend's cat had to be put down Friday night, and Emma's neighbor passed away Saturday morning. It's just weird. So much of this week has revolved around death. Eeeesh.

Also-another sad note, Carolina lost last night. Stupid Georgia. Ugh. I seriously don't want to talk about it. I hate them and I think I hate Lee Corso more. That's a whole different post though.

On a happier note- I got my College Football swap from Emily at From the Land of Cotton and OHMYGOSH I LOVE EVERYTHING! Thank you Thank you Thank you Emily! She wrapped everything in garnet and black and man it's awesome! Oh, and Clemson lost Thursday, so that's good news :o)

Ok well I think I'm making dinner tonight so I gotta get crackin'! Hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Think I'll go to Boston...

Ok so I have a few things to update ya'll about but first thing's first.

I know I told ya I was going to Savannah this weekend, and I had all intentions to, but, my friend Emma has been going through a lot this past week with her grandma who is very ill, and their family had made plans to go to Massachusetts but her mom won't be able to go. So guess who gets to take her place?! Me!!! I've never been to Boston and I cannot wait! Her brother goes to the Massachusetts Maritime Academy so we'll visit with him Saturday & Sunday. Emma and I'll will probably be getting our shop on! Any suggestions of fun things or must-do things in that area?


Ok, secondly, Carolina's first game is tomorrow! I can't wait! I told Emma we will be in front of a TV at 8 pm. I'm sad I won't be able to watch it with my dad, but I'LL BE IN BOSTON!



Speaking of football, I signed up with Preppy Southern Princess for a football swap and got paired with Emily From The Land of Cotton. I finally got all her stuff and mailed it out this morning! I can't wait for her to get it! Sneak peak? Okay!



I loved how everyone is so excited about fall. Check out my favorite things about fall here. That was one of my first posts but it is still true!! Yesterday it seemed like everyone's blog post was about fall and Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte. I am a fan, but my all-time fall fav drink is the Caramel Apple Spice. Yummy.
