Saturday... Saturday... Saturday...

so it's saturday, and once again, gus hasn't failed to wake me up at 7:15 a.m. on the dot.  so after a trip outside, gus' breakfast, another trip outside, i find myself here.

gus has squirmed his way back into bed btw.  what
a punk.  i need to pack and find something to wear for jill's sh
ower this afternoon.  dad and i are leaving for columbia this morning.  wedding shower @ 3 p.m., football game @ 7:30 p.m. :o)  i hope it gets a little chilly!  im bringing my hoodie so i hope i get to wear it!

so yesterday morning i got some really sad news... remember the little kid dad did karaoke with last weekend?  well he was in greenville at the shriner's hospital on friday having some rods or something removed and at first i was told he died from complications with anesthesia, but now we found out something about there was a mass or something on or behind his colon?  and it ruptured during surgery or something... im not 100% sure how it happened, but i was tore up yesterday.  he was the sweetest, smartest, cutest little kid.  he had gone through so much in his 5 years here... diagnosed with MD, being in a full body cast for 12 weeks, breaking bones constantly, all the while never complaining.
he could speak english and french fluently, and was above average in his class.  at the family weekend day thing, we were talking to him, and his mom had dropped him off, asking if we'd watch him while she went to get some food and of course we said yes, and all of a sudden he started screaming "MOM!!!!"  and we said, "Jake what's wrong?" he s
aid "Well she said if I needed her, to holler!"... he was precious.  i'm so glad i got to spend that day with him.  i know everything happens for a re
ason and God has a plan for each and everyone of us, but right now i am just praying for his family and their tremendous loss... i can't even begin to fathom what losing a child is like... especially Jake.

anyway... happy birthday today nick!  it's my friend jenna's husband's birthday today!  i got to celebrate last night with them since i'm going out of town tonight... we had friday's and mmmm it was delish!  i am all about some spinach dip and jack daniel's chicken strips!

well i hope everyone has a great weekend!  i hope we win the game too :o)  be back tomorrow!

gus, btw, is getting HUGE.  i can't believe how fast he's growing.  he has a doctor's appointment on thursday for his second set of shots... hopefully the vet will give him some flea stuff... he's been so annoying with the scratching!  anyway, i found this old video of zack & bailey... blogger won't let me upload it at the moment so i'll try again later...ahhh anyway... can't believe it's wednesday already!  i'm excited for columbia on saturday... i have a bridal shower @ 3 then the football game @ 7:30! yay!  i'm excited for a. a night game, b. the possibility of wearing a hoodie for a NIGHT game!  man, i'm so ready for cold weather!

anyway, i hope everyone has a great night!

Girl's Night

As promised...

I ♥ YouTube

This little girl is a map genius! & she has a pimp little dance!  She would beat me in a test for sure.. Turkmenistan? what the crap?

Luke 6:27-45 & Romans 12:9-12

Luke 6:27-45

"But if you are willing to listen, I say, love your enemies. Do good to those who hate you. Pray for the happiness of those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you. If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn the other cheek. If someone demands you coat, offer your shirt also. Give what you have to anyone who asks you for it; and when things are taken away from you, don't try to get them back. Do for others as you would like them to do for you.

Do you think you deserve credit merely for loving those who love you? Even the sinners do that! And if you do good only to those who do good to you, is that so wonderful? Even sinners do that much! And if you lend money only to those who can repay you, what good is that? Even sinners will lend to their own kind for a full return.

Love you enemies! Do good to them! Lend to them! And don't be concerned that they might not repay. Then you reward from heaven will be very great, and you will truly be acting as children of the Most High, for he is kind to the unthankful and to those who are wicked. You must be compassionate, just as your Father is compassionate.

Stop judging others, and you will not be judged. Stop criticizing others, or it will all come back on you. if you forgive others, you will be forgiven. If you give, you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full measure, pressed down, shaken together to make room from more, and running over. Whatever measure you use in giving- large or small- it will be used to measure what is given back to you."

"What good is it for one blind person to lead another? The first one will fall into a ditch and pull the other down also. A student is not greater than the teacher. But the student who works hard will become like the teacher.

And why worry about a speck in your friend's eye when you have a log in your own? How can you think of saying 'Friend, let me help you get rid of that speck in your eye' when you can't see past the log in your own eye? Hypocrite! First get rid of the log from your own eye; then perhaps you will see well enough to deal with the speck in your friend's eye.

A good tree can't produce bad fruit, and a bad tree can't produce good fruit. A tree is identified by the kind of fruit it produces. Figs never grow on thornbushes or grapes on bramble bushes. A good person produces good deeds from a good heart, and an evil person produces evil deeds from an evil heart. Whatever is in your heart determines what you say."

Romans 12:9-12

Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.

good sunday morning!

Good morning my fellow bloggers!  Due to my recent puppy purchase I've been waking up increasingly earlier than ever before!  Thank God Gus decided to sleep till 7:30 a.m. this morning :o)  I do find myself enjoying the cool weather that comes with 7 a.m. though!  And with the rest of my house still asleep- it's perfect blogging time!  And with no further ado... I begin...

So I feel like a lot has happened since Wednesday... Thursday was my friend Keriann's little brother's birthday :o)  He is now 20 years old.  That boggles my mind.  I remember when he was just a little kid hiding and running away from us and we'd have to go SEARCHING all of freakin' Deerfield to find him.  It's really cool to watch people grow up... Now Jerren is such an awesome guy to hang out with and he is SO funny.  I always end up going home with my sides hurting from laughing when we all get together, and this was no exception.  Their family (including myself :o)  dined at Olive Garden, always a favorite, to celebrate his bday!

He loved it.  We also had some interesting people sitting around us... but unfortunately I did not get any pictures of them... so sad!

Friday was Girl's Night!  Angel, Jenna & myself treated us to Bonefish Grill & as always, we had a blast!  It is always fun to go out with people who you connect with and can just sit and laugh all night long... I would post pictures but Angel is slack and has not posted any of hers yet :o)  Love you Angel!  I will post some of the awesome ones whenever she decides to share them with me :o)

Yesterday... I was a cleaning machine!  I tend to let my room go when it comes to putting away clothes... I don't know why I can't keep it clean once I've cleaned it, but I can't so I have cleaning days to help the situation.  So while I was cleaning, Emma came over and kept me company bringing with her Chick-fil-a sweet tea aka God's gift to me.

Later in the day, Dad's work was having an employee appreciation party... we were invited, even though Dad hasn't stepped foot in FedEx since Dece
mber, all his peeps miss him!  The get-together was on the Air Force Base and they had some outside games and then inside there was catering from Big D's-delish!  And to top it off... they had a karaoke machine... And we convinced Dad to go up their with one of his employee's son to sing AC/DC "Money Talks".

This was one of the funniest/sweetest things I have ever seen!  By the way... "Money Talks" was the 5 year-old's choice to sing, not Dad's.

My friend Carol came over after the party to watch some college football- the only thing you should be doing on a Saturday!  Let's see... Florida beat Tennessee 30-6, so I guess that means somewhere out there...

... gross.  Thank God we bet Wofford yesterday as well... 23-13- Dad & I gave our tickets to Suzanne & Charlie, so we didn't go to the game :o(

Georgia also won last night, which sucks.  I can't stand them.  Down with UGA!

Anyway... That's pretty much all that's been going on since we've last chatted... Hope everyone has had as fun a weekend as I did!

First Blog

So I'm jumpin' on the bandwagon.  I've done a blog or two in my days but recently I've enjoyed reading the ones on this particular website.  Anywho... I don't really have anything crazy awesome to blog about at the moment... but give me some time!

I would like to praise the Lord for this awesome cool weather today!  I think it's seriously like 77 degrees outside and it's 5:38 p.m.  FAN-TASTIC!  I'm so ready for fall... Jeans everyday... sweaters... HOODIES  :o)  yum.

Gus [my new mini-schnauz] puppy is doing well.  He hasn't had any accidents today- that's a plus!  He's growing so fast- it's crazy.  I remember the first time we visited with his parents & the puppies were just five weeks old... they were the cutest things I've ever seen.  And now, he's so big, and only getting bigger!  Anyway, Gus the Bus is truckin' along!
I am very annoyed with car advertising around here btw.  Hyatt Pontiac has the guy that owns the dealership I guess and his little daughter on there.. and yea I live in South Carolina, but not everyone here is a redneck with a terrible accent.  This child however, very well may be... "If you don't buy your car here my daddy says you're paying too much!"  ugh ::gag::  If it were just one car dealership here using their children as advertising tools, fine.  But no, seriously, like 7 do it.  Those kids are going to get made fun of at school I hope they know.  Anyway.

I also can't stop watching the Tina Fey/Amy Poehler Sarah Palin/Hilary Clinton SNL skit.  It is so funny.  "And I can see Russia from my house."  I love Tina Fey- I watched Baby Mama twice last week- good and funny movie.

I also enjoy this picture:

Ok so I think that's pretty much it-  enjoy!
