It's been a while...

Ok ladies- sorry I've been a little MIA...

Recap:

This Is It: Wednesday we saw the MJ movie. It was awesome. I wasn't sure of how the "format" was going to be-more documentary or concert style, but I think they did a great job of balancing the two. It gave all of his fans an inside look of how his mind works and how exactly he prepared for what was sure to have been an AMAZING concert. I did tear up a little at the beginning. It's still just a little surreal that he's really dead.
My mom & even my dad enjoyed it.

The only odd thing about it was the crowd that came to see it. I think everyone in there was over the age of 65. I kind of wanted to dance and rock out and sing more but ya know, it's all good. I definitely want to see it one more time before it leaves the theater.

Job:

I started working at GAP about a week ago. (Hence why I've been a little MIA) I really enjoy it. We have the CUTEST stuff right now. Some things I'm currently lusting after include:

::Sigh::
I also interviewed for a position other than sales associate: BVME: Brand Visual Merchandise Expert. I have one more interview, so hopefully I'll know something in about 2 weeks or so :o)

Pumpkins:
Emma & I carved our pumpkins yesterday! I think they turned out so cute :o)

(Dad wanted to get in on the fun.)

Football:
Right now South Carolina is playing Tennessee. On paper, we should when this game. We are 6-2, 3-2 in the SEC. They are 3-4, 1-3 in the SEC. We are ranked #22 and they are unranked. What's going on you ask? Oh I don't know, we've had two fumbles, both resulting in touchdowns for Tenn. Ugh, if there is one thing I hate ALMOST as much as Clemson, it's Rocky Top. Worst. Song. Ever. They play it in Neyland anytime someone farts. Excuse my unlady-likeness.

Tomorrow we're going to my dad's job's family day, so that'll be fun to see everybody!

I hope you all have a fun and safe Halloween!

This Is It

So as you all are reading this, I will be in the movie theater with my mom and dad, and probably a box of tissues if I'm being honest.

I am so sad that I never got to see him in concert, so this will be as close as it gets for me!

I'll definitely be back with a review of how much I loved it!

It's that time of year again!

Gap's Friends & Family weekend is November 12-15.

As an employee, we get to pass out these awesome coupons to you! This coupon allows you UNLIMITED shopping that weekend to Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic, Piperlime & Athleta, oh AND all the outlets! All while getting 30% off your ENTIRE purchase!

This is the second year Gap, Inc. has started the Give & Get program, they've raised almost $7 million for their non-profit partners. This is where it gets super cool... I get to pick which organization I want my 5% of your purchase to go to.

I've chosen the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. I can almost guarantee that everyone of you who reads this has known someone to be affected by some type of cancer.

So that's it. Pretty simple, huh? You shop. You get a 30% off discount. And Gap, Inc. makes a donation to The Leukmia & Lymphoma Society.

Weekend Wrap-Up

The Weekend Wrap-Up is here!

Friday I met up with a friend who is moving to Raleigh, NC as part of her physical therapy rotation. We went to the mall and walked around, nothing amazing, but great spending time with her anyway :o)

Saturday, met up with Jenna & we did some damage at the outlets and surrounding stores.

My purchases included:

How perfect is this shirt for me? J. Crew Westie Long sleave Waffle Shirt.

J. Crew Stretch Chinos for $12.97!

And these super fun flats from Payless for $16.99!

After that, I came home and watched some football with dad. Thankfully Carolina broke the losing streak against VANDY. Ugh. It was still a painful game to watch. I got some great advice from dad that night "Lindsay, sports is supposed to hurt." Haha, he's so right.

Today, I met up with some friends at Target and grabbed lunch at McAllisters. I love that place!

I also worked on these super cute birthday invitations for a friend's son:

And matching Thank-you Cards!

Now I am rocking out to Michael Jackson (PS-I already bought my movie ticket for this Wednesday and I CANNOT WAIT.) and cleaning up the mess that is my room.

I hope you all had a super fun weekend too!

Random

Ok so I don't watch The Bachelor or The Bachelorette, but my friend Jenna got me hooked to the season when Deanna was on. So of course I know all about this Jason kid. And I think he's kind of a douche. But I digress...

Him and whatsherface got engaged.

And this is the picture that People Magazine publishes.

Really? No one could have photoshopped that HUGE zit on your neck?

Well you know what they say about karma.

Sweet ring though.

Thursday Happenings...

So it's been pretty dreary around here lately, making good for some good cleaning!

Yesterday, I decided to re-organize our kitchen. I went to Wal-Mart & Bed Bath & Beyond to get some organizational accessories. I was ready and armed. I started taking stuff out of all the cabinets and decluttering; i.e.-throwing away expired food items and things that are older than I am. Before I knew it, it looked like this:

Whoops.

And who doesn't need 5 jars of expired salsa?

Anyway, I sorted like things into groups and made out a plan as to where I wanted stuff. I eventually decided all plates, dishes, glasses, bake ware, etc would go on the left side and all food items on the right.

Then I got a little organization crazy. I typed up lists of what each cabinet contained. (This will help Mom & Dad since they didn't have an input as to where stuff was going :o) Ya'll- the kitchen is rockin' my socks off. Here are some pics of the new and improved kitchen!

So I made a binder of our To-Go Menus and put the binder in a drawer. Super cute.

Our Family recycles. A Lot. And we always end up with mountains of recyclables in the sink that my dad has to sort out and drag to the garage. Well know, we have a recycle can! And don't think I wouldn't take the liberty of cute-ing that up too :o)

::On a side note:: NEW 30 ROCK TONIGHT! I CAN'T WAIT!

Wishful Wednesday

Ok so it's Wishful Wednesday over at The Seattle Smiths! Today's topic is 'I wish' .... I had one particular talent, and it would be to sing!

If I had a voice like Celiné Dion or Beyoncé (apparently I need an é on the end of my name) I would sing everything, Like I wouldn't talk. Ever. Singing isn't something you can learn to do well, ya know? You either have it or you don't. And right now, I sure don't.
Check out Kelsey's blog and tell everyone what you'd wish for!
