Is it Friday, Yet?

Is it me, or does it seem like Friday is taking a REALLY long time to get here?

I know we had a short week but it isn't feeling that short at the moment.

So today on my lunch break I picked up Gus & Bailey from the groomer. They look so cute when they get their hair cut. They hate it, but they look darling. Check out Bailey, he's totally smiling b/c he knows he looks good.

So what does everyone have planned for the LAST weekend in May?

(Can you believe Monday will be June 1st!)

I am going to Wilmington, NC for a shower for Shannon & Tucker. I'm pretty excited about this one. I haven't been to Wilmington since I was a little girl and it's such a beautiful city. And I'm staying with Shannon at Tucker's parents house- which by the way, I'm pretty sure it's like ON Dawson's Creek. Be jealous. Here is a pic of the happy couple from my graduation last May. They are super fun!

I know I shouldn't, but I went against wedding etiquette and bought somethings not on their registry. I don't usually stray from things the couple wants and/or needs, but I saw these platters at this store & had to get them!

Ok & I couldn't find a picture of the other one on-line, but it's a square, silver platter with two palmetto trees in it. I also got them stands. I feel like they are gifts that they wouldn't buy for themselves, ya know?

Ok bloggettes- yea, I'm going with bloggettes - I hope you all have a great weekend!

Oh & P.S. - Bath & Body Works is having their Semi-Annual Sale starting June 1st. You know what that means- Wallflowers for $5.00!!! It's usually when I stock up and buy for like 6 months.

Ok, so a few days ago I posted about how I wanted this case for my iPhone. I started getting serious about it. Apple's website has the Sena WalletBook for $49.95. SENA's website has a TON of color options. The downside is SENA sells them for $52.o0. Boo. Come on guys. Hook some poor, broke iPhone lovers up. We already spent a ridiculous amount to BUY the phone. Gees.

Well okay, so maybe if I save some cash, I'll buy this case. The question is... what color? I need help ladies!

Memorial Day Weekend Wrap-Up

I hope everyone had a wonderful 3-Day (four in my case) Weekend!

I think we should have a lot more of these for sure. I'm just sayin'...

So Friday I volunteered at Field Day with Angel.

(She picked me up at 6:00 in the morning.... )

Let me first start off by saying "Kudos". I really could not be a teacher with this generation of children. I have never been around children who were so disrespectful. They didn't think twice about back talking adults or simply doing the exact opposite of what you asked them to do. They were incredibly whiny and pouty. One of them threw a full blown temper tantrum in the middle of field day. Just threw himself down in the middle of the activity, crying & hyperventilating. It was crazy. Oh by the way--she teaches 9-10 year olds.

I can't believe how much they got away with. When I was in school (not that long ago) I would never dream of back talking my teacher. I was scared of getting in trouble at school, and even more scared of getting trouble at home. That's where my generation differs from today's. These kids parents either let them get away with whatever they want, and speak however they want or they just don't care. I seriously could go on and on, but I won't. It makes me sad that two of my best friends have to deal with these bratty children on a daily basis. Teaching definitely isn't what it used to be.

So back to field day... it was fun when we weren't disciplining children. I played tug-of-war, jumped on those bouncy ball things, and got my face painted!!

After that, we hit up a much needed happy hour! Visited her gma, then checked out the mall. We didn't get home till about 9 p.m., but it was totally worth it! I love when me and Angel can spend all day together and not be bored with each other. We always have a fun time!

Saturday, we got our driveway finished. We got it widened so we can fit more cars- it was definitely over due.

Gus supervised the work from inside.

And, who doesn't love ticking off the neighbors by having a cement truck take up the whole street?

Natasha & I worked on Shannon's wedding programs for the rest of the night and rocked out to Michael Jackson's Number Ones. We then had the BEST idea for Halloween Costumes --- we're all going to be different Michaels. I want to be "Bad" MJ, she wants to be "Smooth Criminal" MJ, and I'm pretty sure I can talk my friend Sarah into "Thriller" MJ. We had a lot of fun with that...

Sunday, I laid out by the pool and got the most awesome sunglasses ever. My nose and cheeks are still pretty red today. I don't think I'll ever learn the sunscreen lesson.

Emma & I did a serious cleaning of my room and closet in the evening. Sometimes everybody needs a little help when it comes to organizing & cleaning. I figured out how I want my summer tops, skirts, shorts, and tanks. Finally. I am very pleased with the outcome. We did decide one thing for sure: I definitely need a bigger closet.

Monday, I hit up the outlets and scored some A-MAZING deals... I'll start out with my fav... Kate Spade was having 50% off all purses. Yes, you read that correctly. (if you're still reading this super long post.) I got this canvas tote for $47!!! Ahh, I love it. You know I switched everything into it when I got home!

I also go a shirt from J. Crew & some stuff from Gap including this super cute little bag...

Last but not least, Jenna & I ordered some fun stuff from Thirty-One Gifts a few weeks ago and our stuff came in! I am in love with all my purchases!

Super cute little baggy that I'm using in my purse to hold my lotion, hand sanitizer, medicines, finger nail clippers- that kind of stuff.

New Key Chain that I think I might take to get monogrammed- haven't decided officially, but how fun and summery is it!?

This is from their Kid's collection and it's called a "Kids Fold & Go Organizer". I haven't officially decided what I'm going to use it for yet... They have an example with a notepad and some markers (for kids), I can put pens & sharpies!! for when I get ideas, or I feel like making lists! I'll let ya know what I decide to do with it!

For dinner, Emma & I hosted a cookout- White Sangria, girlled chicken with italian dresssing- so simple, yet so good, corn on the cob, BLT Pasta Salad & Peach and blackberry cobbler. It was one of the best meals ever!

I hope everyone else had a super fun weekend like I did! I can't believe it's over already!

Shower #29348238472

Ok, So not really 29348238472.... I just like hitting a bunch of numbers on the keyboard. It kind of feels like it though... as I've said before, I love wedding stuff, please don't get me wrong! It's just a lot of traveling! (Speaking of, I need to get my oil changed before this weekend's trip to Wilmington, NC)

So here are some of the pics from the shower in Columbia two weekends ago... Everything turned out so well and Kristin & Nate got a lot of fun stuff!

Fantabulously Frugal is giving away a Smashbox "Try Me Kit" today! Everytime I'm in Sephora I always want to get their stuff, but somehow, I never do. I don't really know why, but hopefully I'll snatch this Kit and I'll find out what the fuss is about! I'm pretty excited!

YAY KRIS!

Kris Allen won idol last night... definitely a surprise for me! I voted for Kris, but I just figured Adam was a shoe-in. I can't even begin to imagine what a whirlwind his life must be after last night! I'm sad it's over. I dont' know what I'm going to do on Tuesdays & Wednesdays now!

On a different note-- I got a blog award!! yay!! Lindsay over at Bella Cene' hooked me up! Thanks girl! :o)

(Love it even more since it's Office Related!!)

I'd like to pass this awesome blogger award to:

Rena's blog --- living.laughing.loving
Amanda over at 20 Times a Lady ... Spilling It
Beantown Prepster

Tomorrow, instead of going to work, I'm going to volunteer with my friend ABC's & Polka's at her school for field day! I haven't been to a field day in FOREVER. I can't wait!! I am going to dominate over some 3rd graders.

So what are everyone's plans for the long weekend? Any fun plans? I think I'm going to Star Trek AGAIN :o) and work on my friend's wedding programs... I have about 200 to tie ribbons around. I'd like to do some sort of outdoor activity, so let's hope the weather cooperates!

Happy Memorial Day Weekend All!

If I had an unlimited cash flow...

So yea, if I were ridiculously rich, I'd be buying a lot of stuff.

Today, I got an e-mail from Apple, titled- Make your iPhone even more useful wherever you go.

Psh, like that's possible--

But here's some of their suggestions...

The mophie Juice Pack Air- A rechargeable external battery.

Sena WalletBook Case.

Ugh... More Proof that she is a Homewrecker.

These two deserve each other. Famewhores. I hate them.

Sorry.

(Not Really.)

The Best People Could do?

Really People Magazine? Really? Does anyone care about Bristol Palin? or her Baby? or her wearing graduation robes? or being at home with the teen mom? If you do, my bad.

FYI

Here's the link to Coldplay's FREE Live Album - Left Right Left Right Left

Tuesday Night TV

1. American Idol-

Adam sang/screamed "Mad World", "Change gonna come" & a craptastic song written by the craptastic judge Kara.

Kris sang "Ain't no sunshine", "What's goin' on" & the again craptastic song by Kara.

This is the first year I've watched idol and haven't had a favorite. I really do like both guys. They are so different... I think though, that Kris will appeal to more people, he's not as harsh. With Adam, you either
LOVE him or you don't.

I am voting, b/c I feel like if I don't, I'm a terrible idol fan. But I don't have my whole heart in it this year. Kris has my vote mainly b/c of his performance of Kanye's "Heartless" last week.

Who do you want to win?

2. Glee-

From the moment I saw/heard this preview of the show, I know I was going to love it. Who wouldn't like "Don't stop believin'" & "Rehab" sung in choir fashion? I don't want to know the people who don't!

I think Fox did a great job casting and I wish it were a summer series! I'm sad that I have to wait until the fall to get my Glee fix! I already downloaded the Journey classic on iTunes. Yea, I'm awesome.

Graduation Party Pics

One of my oldest friends (& by oldest I mean, I've known since I was 3, b/c numerically, I am older than her... get it?) graduated from Coastal two weekends ago, and we had her graduation party this past weekend. It was a blast! Her parents went above and beyond (like always when we have parties at their house) with the food! Stuffed Mushrooms, Sausage & Veggie Kabobs, Grilled Lamb Chops, Fruit Salad, Shrimp Cocktails, Cheese & Crackers, Salsa, Pomegranate Champagne Punch, and Cupcakes!

It was such a nice night too, so we were able to sit out on their deck for the entire party! Here are some more pics... Enjoy! And Congratulations Emma!
