It's me... is anyone still out there?

Wow-can't believe it's been since June since I last updated.

FYI-The NKOTBSB concert was beyond my wildest dreams.  I've seen the Backstreet Boys about 4 times and this was certainly the best.  Potentially the best concert I've ever been to.  It was about 3-1/2 hours long and it was song after song after song.  Ugh- I want to go again.

Anywho...

Everything else has been just chugging' along.

  • I've been working a lot-we've been having some changes at the store, but it's been fun.  Keeping all of us on our toes, that's for sure!

  • I've gotten to see a lot of college friends this summer, which is always fun!

  • USC, my alma mater, won the College World Series Championship AGAIN this year.  Makes me so proud to be a Gamecock!

  •  The final Harry Potter came out.  Super sad, but super amazing.  We had such a good time!

So yea, that's what's been going on around my neck of the woods!  I've definitely been reading all of your blogs still-just the worst commenter/blogger ever!

Updates!

I ended up going with the Clarisonic Plus.  I found it on QVC's website for significantly cheaper and it came with three different Philosophy products.  So far, I really do love it.  My face gets all tingly after I use it.  Love.

I survived Black Friday at work.  It was madness, but in a fun way.

The Biggest Loser episode aired that they filmed in Myrtle Beach.  I wasn't on it, but my friend Kyle was!  He was assigned to walk with this woman, who may be a future contestant.  How cool is that?

Emma did the Turkey Trot with my on Thanksgiving!  It was a lot of fun-especially since it was Emma's first race.  We had a great morning.

After a shower and a nap, we regrouped to eat!

Mmm...We had two turkeys-fried and baked.  Both were amazing!

I also go to spend time with Carol and Natasha while they were home over Thanksgiving weekend.  They came to my house to watch us give Clemson a beat down.

Natasha also helped us pick out our Christmas tree and decorate it!  I'm so glad I got to spend time with her while she was home.  She'll be home in 2 weeks for Christmas for about 10 days!  Yay!

SEC East Championship!

Last night, South Carolina Gamecocks beat the Florida Gators to clinch the SEC East Championship. This is a huge feat for my school. When they brought Spurrier on as head coach in 2005, this was a big goal for him to accomplish. Everyone had such high hopes from him. But something that was hard for South Carolina to do was recruit the kind of players it takes for a team to win the SEC East. Remember, we are in the same confrence as Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee, all at one point in time, being huge power houses in college football.  This year though, we beat them all.  Even the #1 ranked team in the country, Alabama.  We did have some losses, Auburn, Kentucky & Arkansas (all SEC teams) but I think that's pretty typical for South Carolina.  They have to keep it real.  Anyway, I could not be prouder of my school and what they've accomplished this year.  Here's to December 4th.  Wish I could go to Atlanta and see us take on Auburn one more time, hopefully redeeming ourselves!

The reason we have done so well this year is because of this man right here.  Marcus Lattimore- I love you.

Whoopsie!

I am a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad blogger.  Please forgive me!

Life has been pretty busy around here lately!  Lots of work, friends coming into town, and honestly, not enough time for me to sit down for hours and blog like I really want to!

But I will let you in on some super fun plans I have starting tomorrow...

I am going to Philadelphia!  My friend Natasha has been up there for a little over a year and I have an opportunity to visit for a long weekend.  I can't wait to do all the super nerdy stuff; Independence Hall, shopping, the Liberty Bell, Cheese steaks, shopping, the Rocky steps, and shopping.  It's gonna be a great weekend!  You can be sure I'll be back with an awesome post about my trip.

Also-on a side note- South Carolina is playing the #1 ranked Alabama this Saturday.  AND ESPN's College Gameday crew is going to be there!  SO SAD I can't be there!

Good thing probably, for Lee Corso's sake anyway.  I'd be sure to punch him in the face if I ever saw him in person.

Just so ya know...

I don't really care about the NBA finals.

I do, however, care about the hat that Leonardo DiCaprio is wearing:

HOLLA!

New Bloggie Friends

Evening blogworld-

It's a sad day at my house. The gamecocks lost to UConn today in the Papajohns.com Bowl.

Lame.

I also had to say goodbye to my friends Natasha & Carol. Natasha heading back to Philly & Carol to Spartanburg.

I did, however, get them to make blogs so we can keep up with each other in our respective locations. Check them out here (Natasha) and here (Carol)!

And hey, have you checked out my 2010 photojournal blog? I hope you'll follow me in my picture a day!

Amazing Weekend!

Let me start off with this...

More on this awesomeness later.

So black Friday was a success!

Got to work about 7:30 AM and stayed til 5. We were pretty steady all day. I had some visitors throughout the day which made it fun! Some people came by I hadn't seen since high school graduation!

When I got off, I met up with some friends for dinner and a movie. My friend Carol was home from Durham, Natasha was home from Philadelphia, Sarah was home from Savannah, Angel, Emma, and Jenna all grabbed dinner. Then we went to see New Moon (again). After the movie, Carol, Natasha & I decided to have an impromptu photo shoot at Market Commons.

Saturday was gameday. South Carolina played its arch rival, Clemson. Lemme tell ya'll...I really try not to hate. I believe in disliking or having differences of opinions, but I hate Clemson. (Not any of my friends who went there, though :o))

Anyway, they have won the last few matches between our two teams and there is NOTHING sweeter than seeing them lose, especially to the GAMECOCKS! The final score was 34-17. I mean we beat them, beat them. Didn't squeak by, wasn't sheer luck. We. beat. them. Plus, it means bragging rights for a WHOLE YEAR! 2010 is gonna be ahhh-mazing!
So moving on, I had Natasha and Carol over for the game. Carol surprised Natasha by bringing another friend Kim, who has been in Argentina for the past year and a half working for Campus Crusade. Natasha was very surprised!

We all had a great time watching the game together. We made dad take a bunch of pictures after the game. I got to talking to them about how special our friendships were...how different our college friendships are than our other relationships. We all did some growing up in four/five short years. I know I am going to have these girls in my life forever!

After the game we went to the mall to hang out and ended up going to see New Moon, again! I just cannot get enough of Edward Cullen. Mmmmm.

So recap of this amazing weekend---2 days spent with college besties, 2 viewings of New Moon and a Carolina over Clemsux WIN=Amazing!
