Wishful Wednesday
Ok so the super cute Kelsey over at The Seattle Smiths has started Wishful Wednesday. She actually started it a few weeks ago, but for some reason or another I haven't done one yet, but when I saw this week's topic, I said "Oh yea!"
So here goes nothing!
'I wish' .... My pet could talk because I have been dying to know everything!
Seriously? You want me to pick just one thing? Sorry, can't do it! First off, Bailey & Gus have very specific voices. I know all you other pet owners out there know what I'm talking about. Sometimes I like to "translate" for them and when I'm speaking for Bailey, he has a very high pitched, kinda flamboyant voice, but very very sweet. The dog doesn't know how to be mean. Gus on the other hand (Gus the Bus), he's kind of oafish. Huh, who knew that was spelled right. Anyway, he's goofy, and very clumsy/uncoordinated. He's got a lower voice. He's also the one that if you were in a group setting and you said "Hey, let's see who can (fill in the blank for something dumb)", he'd be your man. He too though is a very very sweet dog.
Anyway, I wish my pets could talk b/c I want to know what they're thinking all the time. I consider them members of the family and everybody else has a say-so why shouldn't they!
This picture was taken on Christmas morning, 2, maybe 3 years ago. It's one of my favorites of Bailey. He's saying here "Haaaay Mom, I love the flower behind my ear. It's so cute & totally goes with my style! Merry Christmas!"
For instance, Gus would say "OMG, put me down Puh-lease. I am so tired. You know I only stick my tongue out like this when I'm tired woman. Enough with the photobooth today. Gees."

Oh what a weekend!
Happy Monday everyone!
First off, ya'll need to head over to Nesting Place's Day full of giveaways! Awesome stuff!
Secondly-how was everyone's weekend? Mine was super fun. Friday we celebrated Jenna's hubby's birthday with dinner at Logan's. Delish.
Saturday, my friend Natasha came home from Philadelphia for a family friend's wedding. It was an Indian wedding, but as I was told by her family, VERY small in comparison to a "normal" wedding for them. It was so much fun getting dressed up and being surrounded by a totally different culture. Here are some pictures of the day...

Again, but closer :o)
The couple during the ceremony.
Walking around 7 times.
Sunday I went to the Greek Festival that was in town. It was fun, definitely smaller than Columbia's though. I did get a gyro and some Loukoumades-Greek donuts w/ honey-SO GOOD. I totally forgot to take a picture before I inhaled them, my bad :o)
Anyway, hope you all have a great Monday!

Hooray for Fall TV!
Wednesday greetings!
So tonight as I'm browsing the TV guide, there's nothing really that catches my eye. So I turn on Dancing with the Stars. I don't hate the show, but I don't love it either.
Anyway, after DWTS was over, a new sitcom came on called Modern Family. As I check the guide again, see nothing else is on, I decide to watch the show.
Kids- it was hilarious. I hope ABC picks this one up. It's about three separate families that are actually all related to each other. It's got Al Bundy as the grandfather & husband to a much younger Spanish woman who has an 11 year-old, his adult son who is gay who also just adopted a baby from ... Vietnam? I can't remember, it was somewhere Asian. And then Al Bundy's adult daughter, who is married with three children. Ya'll seriously, it was so funny. It's kind of like an Office set up where they do interviews and a camera crew is just "following" them around.
So check it out, Wednesdays at 9 PM!

Too soon for halloween?
Personally Halloween isn't a favorite Holiday for me. I liked it as a kid when I could eat my body weight in candy and my parents would decorate all fun, but now that I'm older and have seen the college scene on Halloween, I think it's more of a day for "adults" to dress up like slutty versions of careers or people we should respect. I'm not saying everyone dresses up like a hooker, but a lot of people do. Anyway, off my costume rant.
The other day I was at Target and came across these goodies...
Who doesn't want to see their dog dressed like a banana?
Or a Turtle?
This one is my Favorite! Gus and & Bailey would be so mad!
Had to take a close up of the actual costume b/c it was so funny.
HOW FREAKIN' CUTE! My dogs would be SO mad if I dressed them up but man would I laugh and laugh and laugh.

Hump Day!
First off- thank ya'll so much for the sweet comments about me not being qualified. You all are right- something better is out there, hopefully I'll find it soon! But that's that and I'm over it. (kinda).
To make myself feel a little better I headed to Target yesterday since I have a gift card there. I ended up scoring some cute stuff!
New Flats
A Super fun Yellow Tote/Purse-haven't decided what I'm going to do with it yet.
& last but not least- some fun colored CD-R's.
I also found some cute bedspreads--I've been wanting something different lately in my room. Not sure yet, if I've found the one, but I'll definitely let ya'll know when I find it!
