Is anyone out there in need of a graphic designer?

Because I definitely need a new job.

Pronto.

The place I work is very unorganized and not established at all. There is no structure whatsoever. Everything is "oh let's try this... wait, what? that didn't work? weird."

I want to be some place where the people above me know what they are doing and I can learn from. I don't want to be some place where my "boss" has asked me in the last 3 months THREE times to come pick him up in the morning. FROM HIS GIRLFRIEND'S APARTMENT. Ok, #1- not professional AT ALL. #2- Why the crap can't his g/f take him to work? #3- if it were my b/f who couldn't get to work for whatever reason, I surely wouldn't want some girl he worked with driving him around. I would want to take him. #4- he gets all up in my car wearing his STRONG stinky cologne... ugh, I want to gag. And ya know, I can't say no when he asks to pick him up b/c I have to be in that tiny "office" with him for the next 8 hours, ya know? I don't like confrontation.

When I joined my current workplace I really thought they had a good thing going, but now I see that the owner wants to just make a buck the quickest and cheapest way he can. And I get that, I really do, but ya know, you didn't hire me to do payroll, drive around the beach passing out coupons, write checks, do whatever "marketing" you think of at the spur of the moment, etc. I am a graphic designer. And sure, I can do all those other things, and every now and then it's nice to change the pace, but come on. I want to be designing things. I didn't go to college and get a degree so I could sit in a non-air conditioned "office" with someone who wears WAY to much man perfume. I want a CAREER, not just a job.

So, if anyone out there wants to hire me, I AM AVAILABLE!

Thanks for listening to my rant.

Oh yikes! I would feel the exact same way in your position. You driving him to work is just weird... I mean, he's your boss! (Not weird on your part, I mean his)

Good luck!

Girl I am so with you! I have the exact same problems at my job! There are no rules until my owner just magically makes one up whenever it suits him best, there is no structure, there is no discipline or organization. It's basically a zoo with a business license! I'm so sorry you're having to deal with this!
