I know ya'll are probably tired of hearing how confused I am as to what day it is by working in retail but it's true. I'm sitting here asking my dad "What did I do this weekend?"
Friday I worked and then grabbed dinner with some friends at Michael's.
Saturday I actually got to sleep in. I'm talking like 10AM sleep in. It was great. I was a big bum since I didn't have to go in until 4:30.
Today I worked til 2:30 and came home.
Let me tell ya what an exciting life I lead.
I did take advantage of some extra time I had to play catch up with some of my college girls.
My friend Carol is coming back to the beach this week and I'll hopefully get to see her on Tuesday.
I hope you all had a nice relaxing weekend like I did!

My Life is Awesome.
I seriously love where I am.
I love that I have some amazing friends that are spread all over.
This weekend I got to see Sarah, who's in Savannah, GA. It's seriously my favorite city that I've ever been to.
So-a recap of this weekend, you ask? Sure!
Got down there Friday, we went downtown and hit up the Gap on Broughton St. It's fun going into Gap's now that I work there... I look at different stuff now, how the store looks, what the employees are doing, customer service, etc... And basically, our store is the best ever. I may be biased but for real.
Anyway, I got some fun stuff that our store doesn't carry. And I love their dressing rooms.
We hung out at her house Friday night and watched This Is It-the Michael Jackson movie.
Saturday we got up and ran around Forsyth Park, then checked out a fun place for lunch called Soho Cafe. Let me tell you, there is always some new cool place to go. It was delish!
We walked around downtown and I got to take a bunch of fun pictures with my camera.
Saturday night we saw the movie Valentine's Day. I really liked it. Lots of stars, a good story line and a great ending!
Sunday we went to church and then hit up Express Cafe. Ya'll know how much I love that place. Breaddddd Puddddinnngggggg.
Hopefully it won't be too long before I'm back again!

What day is it?
Friends, I am so confused as to what day it is!
Working in retail really messes you up since my schedule is different every week.
Here's an outfit of some new stuff we have at Gap that I wore on Sunday. I LOVE this sweater/jacket. I can't wait to pair it with other things in my closet :o)
Today, I only worked until 2pm because I had an appointment at the dentist. Ya'll- I hate the dentist. I'd rather be ANYWHERE else! I have a permanent retainer on my bottom teeth and the hygienist just starts DIGGING away and makes my gum bleed... Ugh. I took 3 Motrin before I went.
The good news? No cavities!
After the trauma of the dentist, I treated myself to a deluxe pedicure. It was the best hour of the day for sure!
On a random note--have you guys been watching the Olympics? Dad & I have been watching it every night... who knew? These athletes make it look so easy, like I could put on a some skis and compete in the Moguls.

Valentine's Day
How funny is this? I love Someecards!
But on a more serious note...
I am totally stealing this from Sweet, Sassy, Southern & Classy's blog.
-On His Plan For Your Life-
Everyone longs to give themselves completely to someone--to have a deep soul relationship with another, to be loved thoroughly and exclusively. But God, to a Christian says, "No, not until you are satisfied, fulfilled and content with being loved by Me alone. I love you my child. And until you discover that only in Me is your satisfaction to be found, You will not be united with another until you are united with Me... exclusive of anyone or anything else, exclusive of any other desires or longings. I want you to stop planning, stop wishing, and allow Me to give you the most thrilling plan existing... one you can't imagine. I want you to have the best! Please allow me to bring it to you. You just keep watching Me, expecting the greatest things. Keep experiencing that satisfaction knowing that I Am. Keep listening and learning the things I tell you. YOU JUST WAIT! That's all. Don't be anxious, don't worry. Don't look around at the things other's have gotten or that I have given them. Don't look at the things you think you want. You just keep looking off and away up to Me, or you'll miss what I want to show you. And then, when you're ready, I'll surprise you with a love far more wonderful than any you would ever dream. You see, until you are ready and until the one I have for you is ready (for I am working even at this very minute to have both of you ready at the same time), until you both are satisfied exclusively with Me and the life I prepared for you, you won't be able to experience the love that exemplifies your relationship with Me... and thus, the perfect love. And dear one, I want you to have this most wonderful love. I want you to see in the flesh a picture of your relationship with Me and to enjoy materially and concretely the everlasting union of beauty and perfection and the love that I offer you with Myself. Know that I love you utterly. I am God Almighty. Believe it and be satisfied.
It's nice to rest and take comfort in that he is doing the planning and I don't have to!

Weekend Wrap-Up
Since coming back from John Mayer a lot has been going on!
I worked my first inventory in retail! It wasn't too bad... they showed up, ticketed stuff and counted it. Then, we counted it. It was a late night for sure.
I had a free massage at my place, so you know I took advantage of that on Thursday! My lady is SO amazing! I also got a super cute new little point and shoot camera. The fact that it's red is just a plus!
Friday I worked and after I got off, I went to my first Pampered Chef party! It had started to snow (yes, snow in Myrtle Beach!) so a lot of people backed out... which meant more fun and food for us! We had a great time making a yummy pizza and a microwave cake! I can't wait for the stuff I ordered to come in! I'll be sure to fill you in when it does :o)
Here is Ashlyn demonstrating the cheese grater!
When I got home, it had snowed around 1/2 an inch... it was so beautiful!
When I woke up today there was about 4 inches!
I love how peaceful everything is when there is snow... so quiet and serene.
Hope you all are having a great weekend!

Mayer Madness
How cheesy of a blog title is that?
But seriously, John Mayer, how I love thee.
Mom and I headed down to Charleston yesterday to see him in concert. This was my fifth time, and mom's second.
We had so much fun. He is so amazing in concert.
I also got to see some of my Bible study girls* after it was all over!
*I may have stolen these pics from Kaci & Donielle since they were on the TENTH ROW!

Beauty Faves
Over at Kelly's Korner it's Show Us Your Life: Beauty Tips & Fav Products.
It's kind of funny that almost a year ago, I did this post, dedicated to my love of bathroom stuff. My friends can vouch, I LOVE a product. LOVE.
I thought I'd give all my readers an update to that post.
Now, while I still love all of those products, I, of course, have a few more to add!
First is Artec's Kiwi blow serum. I started using this about 2-3 months ago and I don't know what I've done this long without it. You apply about a 1/2 dollar sized amount to wet hair and then blow dry with a round brush. It keeps the fly-aways at bay and really keeps the look of freshly-blown dried hair. LOVE.
Next is a classic. Clinique's 3 step program. I have forever used the lotion. It made my list last time. I recently ran out of my face wash though and decided I'd try to get back on the program. It helped that they were having their cute little giveaway deal at the time :o)
Like a lot of ya'll, I too love my Bare Minerals. I started using it this summer after my 17 year old cousin let me try hers. It really feels so light on your face and gives great coverage. I tried their eye shadow thinking I'd love it just as much, but sadly, I don't. There's nothing really wrong with it, I just think the colors are a little too heavy for me. The warmth powder is definitely my favorite. It gives you the best glow.
After reading all 185 blogs about ya'lls favorite beauty products, the next ones on my list are:
Thanks for sharing all your great beauty products!

Shopping Advice
So here is some advice I'd like to share with all my fellow shoppers.
Don't go into a store, pick up an item and then explain to the employee how much you can't stand said item.
If you HATE HATE HATE something that my store is selling, why, my friend, are you in here? Touching it? Holding it? Telling me to my face how much you DETEST it?
I'm curious.
Here's something even more interesting---after you've spent 10 minutes talking about how terrible of a product it is I'm trying to sell you, you actually BUY it.
What?
I'm so confused.

I'm back!
So I made it back Sunday evening from my weekend getaway in the mountains!
Ya'll. I had so much fun.
I feel like I am the luckiest girl in the world to have made the best friends I did in college.
This was my 4th time going to the mountains with this group and it didn't disappoint!
We got there late Thursday night and just hung out catching up with each other. I also may have made the best smore known to man.
Friday we went to Highlands, NC. It's the cutest little hotsy-totsy (technical term there) town. It has some of our favorite stores; Dutchmans Designs & Colonel Mustards--both of which were closed. Bummer.
After we checked out a super fun Christmas tree ornament shop, we went to the Pizza Place.
While we were in there, it started snowing like CRAZY! We got super excited and took a million pictures. We had so much fun playing in the snow!
Later that night we went to this little place for some bluegrass music. Since the weather was pretty yucky, there weren't that many people there. Suzanne & Charlie got a chance to get up and sing for us too!
Saturday morning we were woken up by a park ranger telling us that "it's not a matter of if, but when the power is going to go out" and that we needed to keep our fire going and all this crazytown stuff.
Well guess what. Our power didn't go off and we weren't stranded. We did make a new friend that came to visit us though!
She knew all kinds of tricks and we probably gave her way more people food than her owner would have liked. Whoops!
That afternoon we went into Wahalla, (I like to say "Wa-halllllaaaaaaa", it's way more fun, trust me.) Too bad this town had shut down, too, due to "bad weather". Please. It wasn't even snowing there! We still managed to have a good time :o)
That night we met up with Oxana, another friend from college who happens to live up that way. Basically, Suzanne & Oxana were my saving graces my sophomore year when my boyfriend at the time and I broke up. I couldn't imagine my life without these ladies.
Sunday morning, we got up and scrapped the ice off the cars and headed home. Not before having a snow filled photo shoot though!
Like I said, it was a great weekend and it couldn't have worked out more perfectly! I hope it's not six more months before I get to hang out with these kids again :o)
